Lovely... I'm in a strange place with no food, no water, no one to talk to. Not to mention there's not a whole lot around but boulders and snow. Her thoughts continued in her mind as she padded forward, not worrying about where she stepped. She was blind, yet had no problem keeping out of any sort of mishap you would think of with a blind wolf.
She could still "see"... she just couldn't see like everyone else... and to help with this fact, she always wore a blindfold over her eyes to hide their milky appearance due to her blindness. Many found it unnerving, so she had decided to do something about it, finding the piece of cloth on a fallen human who had had too much to drink at some point and had passed out in a distant land from where she was born.
That was another odd thing... there were no humans around here. Kila wasn't sure why, but that struck her as odd and she continually pondered it.
She sighed to herself and looked up to what would be the night sky with what would probably be a waning moon. She couldn't know, really... it was more of a guess to her. There was no warmth upon her back, thus it would be night... and the fact with how busy the earth was around her, she could tell it was a nearly full moon, though it was waning because the full moon had been a few nights ago.
Many would wonder how she could tell all of this when she described her surroundings and thoughts to others... that is.. whenever she would meet others. She often pushed them away in an attempt to project the idea she didn't need anyone and that she could take care of herself. This was the way she tried to spend most of her time, though she did miss the company of another every once and a while.
She sat on her haunches and looked around her... wondering who or what else lay out there for her to discover.

Does the presence of thought prove the need for conflict? She wondered this as she lay, nothing but a black shadow in the night, her hazy green eyes gazing at the stars for the thousandth time since they caught her attention a week before in the mountain lands. "Certainly its what they think about, the conflicts, self validation is the gods wine," Her ear twitched as she laughed. She was bored now, and was alone. She came to the hurried conclusion that boredom meant being alone, and so she rolled and started into the tall grass of this new area.
It always struck her as so sad, the smell of emptiness. She had become accustomed to it, to the smell of an abandoned place, where only the twinges of a thousand emotions remained, like husks to remind travelers of a distant past. "HELOOOO?" She called out to the plains, her voice scarring a small family of rabbits into a hole. Nothing, just the stirrings of wind. With a sigh she continued to walk, the moon climbing higher in the sky. She liked this land better than the mountains, it was warmer, there were less shadows, less places for her nightmares to hide.
Then, she paused, her nose to the air. "i smell... I smell... I smell, WOLF!' She shouted, her voice echoing through the night. She bounced on her feet, her ears twitching, eyes blinking in her joyful madness. "A wolf, a wolf, I will make friends. i will make friends and if the nightmares come I will shoo them away, shoo them away like that, like swoosh, no, swoon, no... GWUSH!" She shouted. She took off running towards the smell, bounding like a pup, like she had just learned to sprint, to feel the wind rushing through her hair, to see the night peel out before her. Like a bull on the run she almost had trouble stopping as she reatched the source of the smell. Harlequin came to a skidding stop before Kila, "HI!" She chipped.

Kila had been sitting alone, as she so often preferred, especially since her incident... when out of seemingly nowhere a loud shout caught her sensitive audits. She sighed as she turned toward the source of the sound and stared directly at the bounding shape that had headed straight in her direction. She sat still, her head facing the intruding wolf. It gave the illusion of looking at her, but considering there was a bandana over the blind wolf's face, you only knew she was guessing if you weren't sure of her abilities.
Many who approached Kila wondered how she always knew exactly where wolves and things were... that was one thing that Kila liked about her blindness, to be able to baffle others... though the consequence to that was the numerous amount of questions she had answered a hundred times before.
"What do you want?" She said, simply. She hadn't expected to find others in the vast amount of plains that were in Aelyn, but there she was... this crazy wolf that had bound out of nowhere only to interrupt her thoughts and potentially become an annoying nuisance to her once peaceful surroundings. Her rare positive demenour could not be halted for anything, "Well, I was talking to the stars and they arn't happy, not one bit not one bit. Then i got bored so I started walking and I then i scared these rabbits and they ran and then I smelled you and I started to runbecauseIwassoexcitedtomeetyoubecauseIhavn'tseenwolvesinafewweeksandIwantedtoandthenightmaresarefollowingmebutiftheycomeImakethemgo GWUSH!" She took a deep breath, sounding as if she was on the verge of passing out. "Hey, Hey, did ya hear, huh, did ya, the stars, they are prisoners ya know. The tree's didn't think so but I know I'm right because I can be really smart,"
She shook her head wildly, her ears once again tracing circles as they twitched. "I'm sorry, manners, must remember my manners, what are we without manners. Rabbits? We could be rabbits, but if we were rabbits we would be tastier and I don't know about you but I'm not all that tasty. I tried eating myself once, but I had to spit me out, tasted un-san-i-tar-y" She swallowed hard, collecting what little mind set and politeness she possessed.
"I am Harlequin, and I want to meet you," She said with a broad smile, for once actually looking at this new wolf. She had a wrap around her eyes, Harlequin gave it little thought. It looked cool, and its not like she needed eyes. Pesky things eyes were, always showed you the good things and the bad. Pesky pesky eyes. Harlequin didn't like hers, they kept making her see things that were not there, ah, tricky tricky eyes. How smart this wolf must be, putting her tricky little devil eyes in darkness, in time out till they learned some manners!

Kila sat in stunned and annoyed silence for what seemed like several minutes. She stared at the new wolf dumbfounded before she even attempted to create a response.
After a little longer of careful thought and great control over the earthquake that was at her pawtips at the explosion of words from the she-wolf, Kila retorted quickly. "SHUT THE HELL UP! Honestly... have you no decency for peace and quiet? You think it's okay to just jump in and interrupt the tranquility that is the night?" She basically growled this information, clearly agitated at the outburst from the femme. She didn't really care if she was being rude, because quite frankly, the female had started it when she so loudly interrupted Kila's train of thought. "If you must know, however... I'm Kila." She looked directly at the femme and snorted. She figured it would be at least kind to reply with her own name, considering the female had said hers. She wasn't normally one for formalities, but she was alone and figured she would indulge in a little company, even if it were her own personal amusement.[/blockquote]

"Kiiiilaaaa," She sounded out, her head swaying from side to side. "Kila, Kila, rhymes with Masina," She chimed, her head tilted. She shook her head, "Did I tell you that the stars are prisoners? There always screaming for help, cant you hear them? There so loud, some of them though, some of them are tricky, like big eyes, the eyes of god, tricky tricky little devil eyes," She stopped, breathing slowly. "But your the smart one, punish your eyes, putting them in time out you are," She said, unaware of even the notion of blindness.
Then from the shadows, a snake slithered on its belly, gliding between the two, its scales a thousand shades of white. In its eyes burned suns, and from its jaw hung golden daggers, dripping death. Harlequin looked down, shaking her head, "No no no. My nightmares are coming out, no good no manners they have. Have they, could they, would they, should I? GWUSH," She shouted pouncing, her front two paws landing on the snakes as she shouted. Like mist, like a dream the snake vanished.
"See, i tolds ya I would, I tolds ya didnt I Kila, I went Gwosh and he went away, bad snake, bad bad snake made my bad tricky devil eyes," She yipped, bouncing on her paws, twirling once. "They like you, the stars I mean. They like that you can't hear them dont ya know. They like to laugh at you, they call you Kiiiiilaaaa,' She giggled, her eyes wide and rolling in every direction. "Oh, I'm sorry. I'm being rude again, must stop being rude, the little eyes are trying to take over my mouths they are, must be quiet, because my new friend Kila likes a peaceful night she does.

OOC: BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA! ROFL
IC: Diamon growled as he exited the shadows of the the grass. He shuddered, not from wind but out of annoyance. The thin shadows of the grass made it feel as it he were smashed between rocks and the rocks were being lifted. His ribs were allowed to move in and out with his breathing again which made him happy. Shadow-travel wasn't pleasant.
That fae he wondered. If she hadn't have found shelter when the storm broke she would be in trouble. He on the other hand had the ability to move to places that would take much digging, bear dens abandoned or porcupine dens. He loved their taste, but not the feeling of quills in his snout. He hoped the fae would enjoy the meal of deer he brought and laid outside her den in the oaks. Then he shook himself furious.
"Don't go soft," he growled aloud. "Act like it..." He barked. One thing he hated was weakness. He survived his littermates deaths because he was strongest. He survived the onslaught of the pack because he was strongest. He traveled to watch Kilani's demise because he was strong. Weakness was death. Then he remembered the real reason he began tracking the fae, Alaenia... Icewolf... She was of Kilani's line. End Kilani's line and the revenge is complete... But then what?
He sat looking up at the night sky, dotted with unwinking stars... Otherworldly watches... The Judgewolves of OtherWorld. He snorted. Dead memories were in his heart... He wanted them out. He raised his head and for the first time in four seasons he let loose his howl to echo across the plains.
The notes flowed up and down in pitch, masking the number present. He created his own song with his voice. He heard a wild coyote add his voice in a long hello. Diamon ignored it and continued his lament, releasing the memories and reinstating his purpose: Kill the she-wolf and end Kilani's line.

Kila sighed aloud when the femme spoke again. It would seem as if she couldn't get her to just shut up. Even when she mentioned the idea that Kila liked the silence, she still hadn't really shut up. Kila decided to leave the point alone and try to ignore the female wolf in an attempt to get her to leave her alone.
That was when the call of a brute caught her keen audits. She looked instantly in the direction of the sound and grumbled beneath her breath. Great... just what I need... another nuisance. She sighed and flicked her tail. She looked back to Harlequin and sighed once more.
"Trust me, having a blindfold over your face isn't exactly my cup of tea. Ever think there might be a reason to it? Other than to "hide the evils of the world" or whatever you said?" She hadn't even noticed the snake in the grass... not that she would, she would only notice things that were real and tangible and that she could sense and feel the vibrations from, not something that was an illusion... though obviously, she didn't know that.
Kila mentally slapped herself. She had said she was going to ignore the femora, but instead, she had indulged her more by responding to her idiocy. She sighed again and flopped on her side. [/blockquote]

"Cup of tea? Whats tea, sounds dangerous, like the un-san-i-tary flavors." Harlequin looked up, as the howl echoed in the distance, a brief glimpse of consiousness flashing across her eyes, the stirrings of memory long buried. She shook her head, "Nasty tricky devil eyes, nasty tricky devil ears," She grumbled, looking out into the plains, then back at Kila, laying on the ground, "Why are you laying down, is the noise making you sick? Thats it, the noises are making you sick! I'll make them go away!" she concluded, turning to the night and taking a deep breath, "HELLO! PLEASEBEQUIETBECAUSEYOURMAKINGMYFRIENDSICKANDHERNAMEIS KIIIILAAAAA," She shouted, then she seemed to forget what she was doing.
She turned and looked back down at Kila, "Hey, hey what are you doing on the ground, is it fun down there?" She rolled onto her back, "It is fun!" She sighed, being silent for a moment, a long moment as she looked up. "I'm not crazy ya know. Just someone who saw too much darkness and couldn't find there way back," She whispered. There was something in her voice, something that had no right being there, something that hinted of a sadness too deep for words. Then, it was gone, her words carried off into the breeze.
She giggled, her ear flapping senselessly on the dirt. Her giggle dissolved into intense laughter, and from there, to a mad, writhing cackle. She laughed until she couldnt see straight, her sides hurting, and then, "I get it now, why you can see the bottom when looking up. They are lights on ground, and there all looking for the sky, we are the sky ya know, always have been I thinks. Who knows, we could just be rabbits,"

Kila groaned to herself as the femora continued talking. She knew that she would keep talking, even if Kila ignored her. Kila finally gave up and looked to the fae to respond to her idiocy... that was when Kila caught a faint glimpse of sadness in the females voice that pulled at her heart. Kila knew the sorrow of sadness and found she could relate, though she wouldn't admit it.
"I'm not feeling sick... just thought I would lay down. That's not a crime is it? And will you please stop shouting? You just might make me sick that way by giving me a headache." Kila was never actually nice to others.. not often.. but if one were to pick up at any point she was being nice, that would have been it.
She continued to lay on her side, her head erect, as she turned back to the direction from which the howl had come. She knew it was probably stupid, but she figured she might as well. She raised her maw to the air and howled out, her song loud and odd coming from her maw. She hardly used her voice in such ways and it was apparent in her howl. She finished with a note telling the brute others were there and that if he wanted to come, he could.
Kila's plan was to see if she could pawn the female off on the brute and finally have some peace and quiet.

Silence, she didn't like silence. It meant she was alone in her head again, it meant her thoughts had to be hers and hers alone, and she didn't want this many thoughts. Harlequin pondered for a moment if she could remove those pesky thoughts from her head, just crack the skull and let them fly free. Is there a word for that? "Kila," she whispered very carefully, "What is the word for when you need to let your thoughts out, but there is no hole for them to fly? I think there is a word for that, but I think I made myself forget,"
Her ear twitched and she shook his head violently, "Must be quiet must be quiet nasty stupid Harlequin," She muttered, "I was told once ya know, told to be quiet, but I wasn't so he bit my neck, did ya know, did ya kiiiilaaaa?" She shook her head again. She giggled, rolling onto her back. She glanced at the moon, and in its reflection, a semblance of reason formed from broken glass, "You... you see cleared than everyone else you know," She whispered, her voice seeming lower, more grounded, more... real, like thiose where the first words she had uttered all night.
All around them the shadows darkened, the nightmares taking notice of the shift. They flew to her, shadow and illusion weaving silently around her, finding the recovered sanity, and shattering it once again. They could not let her heal, for in sanity, lay and end to their freedom.

Diamon continued the lament. It made him feel at peace for the first time in months. What had he waited for, this felt so good to him! Like being reborn...
A second voice, softer, almost sounding smaller called across the plain with it's own song, though strange as it may be.
"HELLO! PLEASEBEQUIETBECAUSEYOURMAKINGMYFRIENDSICKANDHERNAMEIS KIIIILAAAAA," howled the voice, fae by the sound. He rose head cocked to the side. A twig snapped behind him and he whirled, an evil grin on his face, snapping hard the wind as it picked up. He snorted. His nerves were getting the better of him. He took a step forward, trying to see where the cracking stick had come from. Perhaps a branch from the forest?
No, he thought, the forest is too far and the brush that is here is wet, not dry... Something's here... He glanced around until a second howl went up, then he froze in position, eyes straight ahead as the welcome call came across the planes.
"Kila?" he whispered. He remembered hearing the name in mutterance on the winds. The Blind She-Wolf. She roamed alone, like he, but to hear the name called out by a smaller.
Perhaps the Blind One had mated... Though as unlikely as it would seem.... An apprentice to her madness? The twig snapped again and Diamon jumped as a long snake, slithered through the grass, ghastly and hallow. He landed with a growl and a snarl, eyes and ears on high alert for another. These types he had seen on the Shadow Plane, the place through which he could travel without rhyme or reason without harm. But the snake came from the same area he had just moments before... Was it following him? Or drawn to the wolven song that was now behind him from the Faes? He growled low and back stepped into a Shadow, thinking of appearing behind the faes to his back. The serpent raise it's head, watching him... Then slithered on it's way opposite him as he faded into the shadow of the grass.

Kila sighed to herself as the she-wolf continued to speak. At least she wasn't yelling anymore. She covered her face with her paw for a moment while the little whelp continued to talk. She had said something insightful that intrigued Kila.
"What do you mean I see clearer than everyone else? I'm blind!" She shook her head in disapproval. She was also surprised that her earlier shouting at the pup to shut the hell up hadn't alerted others to their whereabouts.. then again, she remembered that she had called out to whoever's song was out there. The brute had finished his chorus and remained silent. Kila wondered if he had left or not... that would be one less nuisance to worry about if that were the case. She sighed to herself and looked toward the female. Why she looked in her direction, she didn't know. It was obvious by Kila's posture that she was annoyed by the she-wolf, but apparently the she-wolf was not picking up on these cues. Kila decided to suck it up and deal with it.[/blockquote]

She remained silent for a moment, a long moment, her mind trying to hold together the thoughts. Then all gone again, and the shadows lessened, the nightmarish illusions created by her mind receding, the risk to them gone. "Blind?" She mused, "Whats blind mean? Kila, Kila, Kila were do we all go when the sun turns up?" And rolled so she faced Kila, her eyes staring at the wrap around her new friends face. "I mean. Is it the same you in the day as you are at night? How could one spirit live in both worlds? Or do we have another self that sleeps in the night, and when dawn comes, the other comes only we think its us and then the sun makes us go to sleep," She whispered softly, seeming to actually try and make an attempt not to disturb Kila too much.
Off in the distance there was the sound of a heavy footstep and a roar. Far away, very far away, the roar of a bear. Harlequin tensed, "No, no no not yet. I dont want to gwush him, no no not yet," She shook her head violently. Then paused, calming herself. Still far away, far far away. She smiled, rolling back onto her back, "I bet my other self is quiet, you would like her then wouldnt you?"

Diamon shifted, exiting the shadow of the dead grass. He grinned broadly, seeing the wolves he hoped he had heard. He swallowed slowly and sunk into the tall grass. The Wind was coming at him, carrying their scent to his nose. He didn't recognize either of them but he listened intently to their words. Sinking into shadows had it's benefit, of course...
"What do you mean I see clearer than everyone else? I'm blind!"
So... This is the great Kila... She's smaller then I had thought she would be... Thought Diamon.
"Blind?" mused the second, "Whats blind mean? Kila, Kila, Kila were do we all go when the sun turns up?" The second rolled so it faced the other. "I mean. Is it the same you in the day as you are at night? How could one spirit live in both worlds? Or do we have another self that sleeps in the night, and when dawn comes, the other comes only we think its us and then the sun makes us go to sleep," The talk turned to whispers and Diamon crept closer on his belly, listening and watching. The smaller on tensed then began shaking her head as if clearing a Mindbreaker's spell. She smiled, rolling back onto her back, "I bet my other self is quiet, you would like her then wouldnt you?"
This one's..... How to put it... and idiot? Insightful, but still an idiot. The least I can do is have some form of fun... He stood to his full height and growled, standing out of strike range.
"Hello... Ladies," Diamon grinned from behind them.

Kila shifted her weight and turned her face directly toward the brute. "Well, finally you decide to show your face." She flicked her tail in mild annoyance as she slowly stood so she wouldn't have her back to either one of these wolves. She didn't trust either.
She looked the brute up and down, assuming he had some sort of power that allowed him to remain undetected by her uncanny senses. This irritated her even more knowing someone might be able to sneak up on her like he did.
"How the hell did you sneak up on me like that!" Irritation was easily heard in her voice. She held her ground. If she could, she would be glaring at the brute right about now.. though as it was, she had a wrap around her eyes to hide their milky appearance. Turning quickly to Harlequin, she added snappily "And you are the same person during the day that you are at night." She growled to herself as she turned her attention back toward the brute. Harlequin yipped, jumping, her heart doing a backflip. She leapt to her feet, her eyes assessing this new wolf, "Shouldn't sneak like that, monsters, monster everywhere you know, monsters who don't like being surprised, not one bit ya know not one bit not one bit," Her ear flapped madly on a will of its own, her whole body tenser, more aware, well, whatever her excuse for awareness was. She took a few steps back, her nose twitched as she took in his smell. She stopped when she stood next to Kila.
She took a deep breath, seeming to taste over his smell for a moment. Her muzzle crumbled, "You smell funny." She said bluntly, "Like, like, like a dark spot in a shadowy garden, or a dead tree in a growing forest or or... a squirrel with a mean face," She glared at the new Brute. She laughed, a mad, deranged cackle. She stopped abruptly, looking at Kila, "Sorry," She whispered, "I gotta be quiet, I gotta be silent, like grass roots," She shook her head violently, her attention returning to the brute.
He seemed familiar, but different. She didn't like it, didn't like it at all. She imagined that if her nightmares looked in a mirror, his face would stare back. A brother to the madness. Her eyes narrowed, all around them small noises started, a clicking noise, a low growl, a slithering of the unimaginable, the stirrings of fears too old to understand.

"Hello... Ladies," Diamon grinned from behind them. The female to his left jumped about a foot off the ground as the one to his right shifted and turned so that she faced directly at him. He grinned inwardly at the jumper and the turner. He knew she turned to keep her back from him, lest he suddenly decided to attack and kill. He was good at that, killing those that irritated him or were of Kilani's line. The fae spoke as the other regained herself.
"Well, finally you decide to show your face." Her tail flicked in an obvios annoyance as she slowly stood. She looked him up and down, and he allowed it. If se was the blind one he had heard about and the rumors that flew were true, then by scent, sound, taste, and touch-with-the-ground she could form the image of him in her head. But the Shadowmeld would keep him if the rumors of her eyes burning through wolves was true too. He could escape easily from them both.
"Shadows don't come out until dusk and return to their dens at dawn," Shadow replied. He'd keep his true name for when he killed the fae, The Ice, Alaenia.
"How the hell did you sneak up on me like that!" Irritation was easily heard in her voice. Her head had a wrap around her eyes to hide them. Before he could answer the smaller was turned on and snapped at, "And you are the same person during the day that you are at night." She growled, either as irritation of the shewolf or of him before returning her attention back towards him. He chuckled lightly.
"Do you ask the moon why it waxes and wanes?" He was toying with her. The smaller spoke up.
"Shouldn't sneak like that, monsters, monster everywhere you know, monsters who don't like being surprised, not one bit ya know not one bit not one bit," Her ear flapped madly on a will of its own, her whole body tenser. He grinned broadly and smiled.
"The monsters you speak off come from where I come from. They are neither friend, nor enemy. We are at a truce. They keep out of my way, and I try to keep out of theirs. When our paths cross, we both bow," he bowed his head low, then stepped to the side, maneuvering to the elder's side, in a ready to strike should he have to, "and step to the side and continue on our separate paths."
She took a few steps back, her nose twitched in scenting. She stopped when she stood next to Kila-the-Blind. She took a deep breath, seeming to taste over his smell for a moment. Her muzzle crumbled.
"You smell funny." She said bluntly, "Like, like, like a dark spot in a shadowy garden, or a dead tree in a growing forest or or... a squirrel with a mean face." She glared at him, as if for the blind one who could not, then she laughed, a mirthful, deranged cackle laugh. She stopped abruptly, looking at the elder shewolf, "Sorry," She whispered, "I gotta be quiet, I gotta be silent, like grass roots," She shook her head violently, her attention returning to the brute.
She, to him was familiar, but drastically different. It was almost as if he had found a part of his past... An older sister who had lived long before he but died and been reborn into this that came back with vengeance. Then he remembered - one sister of four pups survived many many years before his birth tot he Coal Pack, the black wolves of the north. She had a similair look about her: The black of her hide, the slight chest marking, the white of her muzzle: They looked like a mirror reflecting, one sane, the other not. One with emerald eyes that swirled with the madness, the other had blue eyes that were calm and collected. Now one was scarred, his past--fighting in the pack and the other was his future--eye on the prize of the Ice Wolf's life... the End of Kilani's line...
He snorted.
"Speak the truth as you see it, Youngblood... The 'monsters' have been your friends as much as mine... They like you, that is why they follow you.. why they 'bother' you," He stood and circled the half-pint, thinform, as the Shadow within him, the one who helped him with the Shadowmeld muttered a name in his mind, unbidden. When he reached level with her ear, he whispered it so only she wold catch it "Kira." He stepped back waiting to see if it did as the Shadow-Within wished, wanted, demanded: push Harlequin the meek back and let the Deviant run a muck again. That is, if it was his Sister-of-Shadows, that is.

She shook her head, stumbling back, "No, no your wrong," She said, shaking her head, "Three heads made a sun, two make a moon, and one a god," She whispered, her eyes darting desperately to Kila. "Your a liar, a funny smelling liar. You smell like blood, blood blood," She laughed, her eyes flicking open and shut rapidly. Something was happening, all around them the noises filled the air, noises that seemed to be more real than the words of these wolves.
"Liar, liars are the end of manners. I like manners, they helped me be quiet for Kila," She seemed to hold onto a lucid thought for a moment, "Run Kila run, the monsters are coming," She whispered, then giggled. "Your just a nightmare. A nightmare cause by my dirty dirty devil eyes," The earth seemed to shake with the distant footsteps of a creature beyond imagining, something was coming, "A bad bad nightmare. Lost from the stars, you need to go back now little squirrel, back to the low place, or is it the high place?" She looked out into the shadows.
"Kiiiilaaaa, run now run," She mused, shaking her head from side to side. Before was lunacy, this was worse, something was shifting yet again, a mind in constant motion, a mind where stability found no home. From behind her, from the shadows it came. A bear, massive in size, its fur slick with blood. From its eyes leaked an endless stream of maggots, its teeth black with rot. This was not a creature of shadow, not a creature of reality. This was a monstrosity, a symbol of madness. It roared, loud and powerful, shaking the very souls of all beasts a mile around. Harlequin bared her teeth, her eyes set on Diamon, and with her, the bear moved. For the first time Harlequin held it in her power, and for the first time, she knew what it was. It was a dead spot in the world, a scar left from a scratch. If three wolves threw fire into the everywhen, then everything must catch doesn't it? Whatever the case, Harlequin was fairly sure it was un-san-i-tary.

Kila had no idea what the two were going on about. She saw no monsters or approaching creatures, which meant the surprise she felt when the bears roar caught her ears.
"Where is that coming from!? It doesn't touch the ground!" She growled toward the monster, raising her right forepaw ever so slightly, producing a wall of earth from the ground beneath her feet and raising her high off the terrain that was the normal ground and out of potential harms way. "Someone better speak up and tell me what the hell is happening before I unleash hell on you both!" She growled at the two around her and remained upon her perch, able to sense any vibrations just as any other time, though unable to figure out where the bear was coming from. At this point, she was relying only on her other senses besides her "sight" in order to pinpoint where the beast may be. Granted, her other senses had become unnaturally heightened since her blindness, but it still annoyed her nonetheless. She could hear and smell better than any other wolf she had met and she was relying entirely upon those senses with this unseen bear.[/blockquote]
