Haven's massive size floated through the sky with delicacy. He may have had his father's size, but he had his mother's grace. If anything, he truly was a great mix of the both of them. His siblings would be envious. Oh hell, why was he thinking of his awful family? If anything, he truly should have been his Aunt Masina's child. They were both born into a terrible family. Or rather, just related to an awful seed. Okay, he really needed to stop thinking about them. All they did was depress him, and he needed to get over himself and grow up a bit. He was a great warrior for the pack, and thinking the way he was only proved him to be weak. There was no needed for that, now was there?
Haven's massive paws graced the top of the water as she slowly lowered himself into the spring. Tiny waves were left in his wake as he swam gracefully, his wings tucking themselves to his sides. He was so massive, and yet he seemed to fit perfectly in the moderately sized pond. Slowly, he padded his way through the warm mirror toward the edge. A little basking in the sun never did anyone harm, now did it?
Laying on his back on the shore, Haven closed his crimson eyes and lowered his mental barrier. There was no need to sneak up on the large brute. He shifted to get more comfortable when he suddenly opened his bright eyes. He wasn't alone... yet he couldn't catch the scent of anything. Actually, there was a soft smell of flames. As though a small bush were on fire. Cocking his head to the side, he inhaled and tried to catch the thoughts of whomever was near. He'd smelt that scent before.... Keith? Closing his eyes once again he spoke slowly, yet clearly, "Feel like joining me? Or just passing through?" There was a definite edge to his voice... but it wasn't a bad one. Sarcasm, maybe? Even he wasn't sure.

Keith had been walking, slow and steady so she could get accustomed to her new world. She hadn’t been her very long yet but already she had paced the vast wilderness many times learning most of the scents and landmarks. She wasn’t much of a wolf that could be said lightly but she was, if anything at all, a wolf who knew what was important.
She had been gazing almost obliviously at a small bunch of red flowers, they had intrigued her slightly having mimicked the colour of her fur almost perfectly. It wasn’t Havens scent that caught her attention first, it was the small of disturbed water that sent shivers down her spine. She decided almost instantly to make her way back towards her resting spot but something made her turn the other way, walking briskly towards the cold clutches of aqua she gently folded her two tails beneath her stomach.
She could see Haven resting by the banks and a gentle chill ran up her sides at the thought of what he was coated in. "Feel like joining me? Or just passing through?" Kei smiled gently to herself, she didn’t know how he had noticed her but either way she was sure it was abnormal.
“I was roaming when I smelt you nearby so I thought I might come say hello” she knew this was only a half truth as she slowly trotted down to sit beside him. She stayed well away from the water but she doubted anyone would notice the reason why. She grimaced at the thought of having water dripping from her fur. “so how are you today” she asked gently, not bothering to add the evil tone usually found in her voice. “I havnt seen you since our first meeting” she smirked at the memory.

Grinning softly to himself as he heard soft footsteps, Haven didn't bother opening his eyes. His thoughts of it being Keith were confirmed by her voice. The tone of her voice had him on edge slightly. Then again, when did someone's tone not have him on edge? Her tone was different from others though... It was fiercer, evil almost.... something that strongly reminded him of his father. Lucid was evil through and through. And the tone he held always made him want to run in the other direction. His mother, Mira, also had that edge to her voice. However, it had a softer side, though Haven could easily see that Lucid had tainted the good nature of his mother. Letting out a sigh at the thought, he turned his attention back to Kei.
Opening his scarlet orbs slowly, Haven rolled over onto his stomach and looked toward the fae before him. A soft smirk fell upon his large maw as he caught a quick thought of her's. So she didn't care for water. Pity. Then again, the thought of water and fire mixed made him think of his mother again. She was definitely an oxymoron. A lover of both water and fire, she was graced with ability to conjure them both. Haven however, was only graced with the water element. Maybe that's why Kei had him feeling off.... It was obvious she had an affinity for fire.
Listening to her words, allowing them to swim through his mind, he nodded his head slowly. "I'm pleased to see you here. Thank you for finding me." Haven's voice was soft and polite. Professional almost. "I'm doing rather well, actually." He stood up from the water, allowing it to fall from his cream colored fur. He didn't dare shake the excess off. He didn't want to spray Kei, especially if she didn't care for water. Standing there, allowing the sun to dry him slowly, he almost wished he had the fire element. Just so he could dry himself off quicker.
Taking a few steps toward her, but keeping his distance in order to keep the water from her, he sat down on his haunches and wolf grinned at her. "I was beginning to wander where you had went, actually." Quickly he pulled up his mental barrier, feeling as though he had invaded her privacy. He would have slapped himself for being so rude if she wasn't sitting infront of him. So instead, he slapped himself mentally, a soft rose color tinting his cheeks as he did so.

Kei stared momentarily dumbstruck, as was her way whenever she caught a full glimpse of this wolf, before yawning and drooping her head slightly. She was quite tired and the sight of Haven relaxing didn’t help her feel any more energized. She closed her deep lifeless eyes as she listened to his voice. Each word he spoke seemed calm and forced almost as though there was something troubling his mind.
She flicked her ears at a fly then replied with her eyes still partially closed. She herself was surprised at the somber tone that drifted from her fiery mouth. “I’m sure many have wondered just the same. I’m not one that finds comfort in groups so forgive me if I seem distant at times.” This was true but Haven seemed to be much like her in many ways. She felt quite at home when speaking to him and thus she rarely had the sly edge to her gentle burning voice.
Kei stay silent for a moment before speaking again with a less depressing tone. “Forgive me if it unsettles you but it’s a habit and it makes me feel strange being still without doing it” she looked up at him with a gentle smile before a gentle wumph sound echoed in her ears. Kei was now rolling a small red-orange ball of fire with one of her tails. It was no larger than her paw and despite the fact it was a flame it was cool to the touch and didn’t even singe the earth.
“You seem to be enjoying yourself” she said with a smile, Haven seemed more content then their first meeting. “I take it life has been treating you with at least half kindness” She closed her eyes again but continued toying with fire now rapped tightly between her tails.

Haven stayed in sitting, his crimson eyes watching her with pure curiosity. She so unlike the others in the pack... much more like himself actually. He was always a loner, though he would protect the pack with his life when needed, he just didn't quite fit in with the others. Be it his massive size or his personality. Hell, it could always be because of who his father was. They trusted Masina though... and Lucid was her brother after all. He let a soft sigh escape his maw as he continued to watch Kei.
He smirked in a cute manner as she watched him with a rather dumbfounded look. He towered over her, easily, and he felt a bit selfcontious for a moment or two. He sloutched slowly, getting closer to the ground, more to her height. She wasn't a small wolf, but she wasn't large either. Haven licked his maw slowly as she half closed her eyes and talked to him. He cocked his large head to the side, pondering... why wouldn't she look at him? He shook the thought as soon as he caught sight of the small fire ball she was rolling upon her tail, toying with it. Mesmerized by it, he slowly closed the distance between them, his blood red eyes set on the small ball. He spoke slowly as he lowered himself before her, both a sign of respect and sincerity. "The only thing that unsettles me about you is the tone you carry in your beautiful voice. You seem to drop it when speaking to me though." Nudging his large nose against her fire playing tail, he continued softly, "Why is this?"
Realizing that he probably looked pathetic, he quickly stood back up and backed away a few steps, allowing distance between the two of them. "How could one not enjoy themselves when in the company of a sweet fae and the sound of soft running springs?" Haven cocked his head to the side, his body was growing heated, drying his fur faster. "Life is treating me generously. What about you, Kei?" Her name rolled from his tongue like thick honey, as though he didn't want it to escape his maw.

Kei’s eyes opened as she glance up at the wolf, she had not been told anything close to that before and she found it hard to suppress the slight smirk that forced itself upon her features. She couldn’t answer his question but none the less she tried.
“You sound… much like a wolf I think… maybe a knew…” the honesty surprised her, why would she even speak of such a thing. She had so few memories, this made her weak, no older then a pup within her mind. She didn’t want to say this but for once she felt completely save, water aside. “I don’t remember much beyond here. In truth these lands are really all I know” she turned away glancing up at the sky “When someone as strange as I walks upon an unknown land we expect to be striked down, not welcomed the way I was. Although now that I am here I find myself so distant. I don’t know how I should speak or act, I feel… So small” the small orb of fire crackled and poped before disappearing altogether. Her tails slumped onto the ground gently as kei turned her gaze back to Haven.
She had a feeling that this wolf could be trusted with this, after all when she saw the glitter in his eyes it was not the brute he seemed looking back but rather a battle field. Haven seemed almost sad even when he was happy but she could hardly say such a thing. She didn’t even know this wolf. She had begun to feel sad herself when a soft smile struck her eyes.
Kei had noticed the strange look Haven had given her fire… “want to see something cool” she laughed lightly and her very voice seemed to be aflame. Most wolves would cringe away but she doubted this wolf would even notice. It was a slightly crude attempt at a subject change but wether he saw through this she cared not. Either way she was happy to just be able to be herself. She watched him for a moment waiting for his answer.

Standing silently, Haven felt comfortable around Kei. It was odd, but it was as though he saw himself in her... Kei was Haven... only female. He cocked a brow at her comment about him sounding like a wolf she once knew. Or maybe knew? He lowered his head slowly, watching and listening to her intently. What she was saying was how he had been feeling since he had found his aunt a few months ago. Slowly, he drew his paws forward, closing the distance between them once again. He sat in front of her, his fur merely damp upon his skin. She was opening up to him... which no wolf had ever done. Realizing that he had the feeling he should trust her, he too opened up to her. "In all honesty, I know exactly how you feel, Keith. You may not know him, seeing as you are new to the lands, but my father is Lucidity, alpha over the mountains. He is feared by almost everyone in the land. I knew he was up to something, but I couldn't put my paw on it. Our whole family was feared... I didn't fit in, yet I to was feared because of the connection."
Lowering his head toward the ground, he sighed before continuing, "I'm telepathic.... I can hear what others think. And I heard some of his plans... He's an awful being, so I left. And found myself here, with an aunt I never knew I had. Because of my ties to Lucid.. I feel as though people look down upon me because of how I was raised and whom I was born to. I too didn't know how to speak or act. I knew I was nothing like my father, but others didn't see that. I felt so miniscule amoung the pack. A burden almost...." He looked down at her, into her black eyes. His crimson orbs glittered softly.
He slowly lowered his head toward her's and nudged his nose against her's, "I guess we have quite a bit in common." Blushing vibrantly, Haven sat back up and cleared his throat, "I'm so sorry to allow my burden to fall upon you. You have enough on your mind, I'm so very sorry." He felt ashamed of himself for speaking his mind as he did. And brushing his nose against her's with such softness, he was worthless, and beneath her, he had no room to do so. He swallowed, trying to ease himself from the embarassment he had caused himself.
His eyes lit up, though he didn't look at her, when she changed the subject suddenly. Though he wasn't one for subject changes, he was very glad that she had changed it. Nodding his head slowly, he spoke softly, "That would be wonderful, Kei." There was barely a hint of amusement in his voice as he stared down at thier paws, so close to touching.

Kei tilted her head slightly, she knew he felt bad for telling her such things but kei was relieved at his openness. “it is not who you know that defines who you are, You in yourself will never be like your father nor those you mistrust. The simple fact you turned away proves this and to all those who judge you for your fathers mistake, they are foolish and childish” Kei glowed with a gentle fierceness before speaking again “there is no need for apologies”
she smiled upon hearing Havens agreement Keis eyes glowed slightly, their black colour had begun to gain a red tinge signaling night fall was not far away, She lowered her head slightly then stood. Normally she would have acted a little more controlled but she yawned and stretched playfully before staring out at the water. “watch carefully, you could miss it if you where to many miles away” she smirked sarcastically and stuck her tongue out slightly.
the water began to glow softly turning from a gentle blue to raging and violent red. Keis laughter began to echo around her as the water began to boil then almost as if it had been timed a raging golden dragon erupted from the waters depths. It threw itself high into the air, its fire composed body snarling with a demonic thundering.
It was massive, larger then any tree burning hot even at the distance Kei and Haven where at. It spread its to massive wings striking the trees far to each side but leaving them untouched. Kei stopped her laughter then a look of concentration crossed her face momentarily. The burning beast opened its fiery jaws revealing its throat, the beast was hollow all the way through. It lowered itself back to the water then slumped over its surface.
It began to cool quickly then eventually the fire died leaving a thick grey shape on the water’s surface. The dragons mouth hung upon resting on the bank. “that’s my dragon cave!” kei snickered excitedly before setting it aflame once more. This time when the flame died it held no shape but the clam water there once was.

A slow chuckle escaped Haven's maw as he listened to Kei speak. She seemed so excited about whatever it was that she was going to show him. And in all reality, he was just as excited to see it as well. He raised his head toward the spring, his crimson eyes softened as they took in the mirror of water. Slowly though, his eyes hardened as he watched it turn a deep color of red. What was she doing to the spring? Geez, it looked as though a volcano was erupting beneath the surface of it. And he had merely been in there moments ago. Kei had some real power... which was probably why he felt something about her when they had first met.
His eyes widened and he couldn't help but lean back slightly as a giant ball of fire... no... dragon?... stormed out of the water. Instinctively, he had wanted to step infront of Kei and protect her, but he knew better than to do that. She was the one who had created this fire dragon. Her laughter lightened his mood. Kei was really talented. She truly was. Haven's maw fell open in awe as the dragon landed back on the water and opened it's large mouth, the entrance to a cave, he thought.
Kei quickly proved him right when she spoke with such excitement. Haven quickly picked up his jaw from the ground and grinned in a puppy like manner. His crimson eyes softened as he looked at her, "That was amazing, Kei! I'm dumbfounded, actually. Your talent is great... far greater than mine and anyone I know, actually. I must say I'm envious of your greatness." Haven lowered himself to her paws, bowing respectfully. A cute grin was plastered over his maw as he looked up at her from his bow. "You are worthier than you know." His voice was soft and sweet. Sincere and caring. A tone that Haven rarely used with his husky voice.

Kei was all grins and laughter as she watched Havens shocked response then something odd struck her mind “you are worthier than you know”… No kei was not… Fires burned in her mind, screaming and crying. She jumped back away from Haven yelping, her eyes erupted red but quickly calmed as the memory faded away. Burning wolves, again more wolves… Her mother’s words.. “Worthy of our respect” her fearful eyes…
Keis eyes darted back towards haven, her whole body had leapt away cowering and trembling. She was embarrassed by her reaction but none the less she crept back to her previous spot “sorry” she chuckled as she tried to still her shaking form, she could still hear the crying as if it were lost around her.
She leaned in close to Haven for support but something else hit her memories, the words were spoken as clear as her childish whine of terror “Fire child, You will always destroy” Kei collapsed onto Haven thankful for his support. She couldn’t stop her body from trembling nor could she act as if it didn’t happen. She glanced up with a meak smile, “sorry about that, my mind escaped me” she laughed at an unknown amusement to the situation.
Kei knew how those memories where formed but didn’t understand why this moment had triggered them. She glanced into Havens eyes with a slight realization. Maybe… it was him…

There was fear in her eyes... Oh dear, what had he said? Haven stood up, startled, as she jumped away from him. What had he done?! Her yelp caused him pain, emotionally. His maw opened as though he were to speak, but it caught in his throat. His eyes held compassion and so much worry as he watched her own eyes dart to a vivid fiery red. He wanted to comfort her, though he was positive it was his own fault she had coward away from him. He could be such an idiot... a moron.... He truly was a worthless whelp.
His eyes widened with shock as she came back toward him, mumbling a soft sorry and chuckling. She was shaking so terribly, like she was freezing. He wasn't sure what he was doing, but his body seemed to be moving without his mind's consent. He lowered himself toward her and nuzzled her neck gently. He had hoped all was well, when she completely collapsed against him. He caught her weight easily and cradled her to his body. Thank heaven's his fur was dry now.... The thought struck him as odd. Why was he so worried about his fur being wet? He knew she didn't like water.... But still. He nuzzled her softly, continuing to hold her small form against his massive size.
He glanced down at her, his eyes soft, yet both worried and scared, as she spoke. Her laughter was odd to his erect ears. He spoke to her quietly before letting her go, he wasn't worthy of her after all, "I'm so sorry for whatever it was that I had done, milady. I ask for your forgiveness and that all is well with you." He lowered his head to her, his eyes filled with sadness at the thought of hurting her. His stomach turned as he looked at her. Something was off... whatever he had said had triggered it... but it wasn't entirely his doing. The realization sparked in his eyes. Leaning toward her and plaing his paw gently on her's, Haven spoke slowly, "Kei? What really just happened?" His ears craved her voice as he spoke. He had the feeling that he needed to comfort her... though he was sure it was more for himself than her.

Kei opened her maw but closed it again, how could she turn around and tell him she was a monster? A feind? She shook her head and looked away towards the trees, she could run now but… would he follow her, Kei would follow him… She looked back at him seeing the worry and pain in his eyes.
What could she say, what could she do? He could just see for himself but kei could tell if he had he wouldn’t have reacted so. No she couldn’t tell him, she couldn’t let him know at all. Any one but him. “I’m sorry, I’m just tired” she smiled wearily, her body had calmed but her eyes still jumped from place to place.
She looked down at the blue paw resting on hers, blue and red… “quite strange isn’t it” she said leaving her gaze upon the two clashing colours. “how can two colours so unlike each other become so beautiful when combined as one…” she gazed up, her eyes almost gold now that the sun grew dark. “I always liked blue” she giggled lightly then pulled her paw free.
“I cannot tell you what happened, nor can I even explain but I ask you to not ask me again. If you feel you must know feel free to explore my mind as your own but I’m afraid that my words would never even leave my tongue, it troubles me as much as your thoughts trouble you”
Kei turned slightly facing the dark forest, even her fur seemed bright in the quickly darkening landscape, she smiled gently. “Maybe… you would join me for a night flight?” she wasn’t sure if he knew about her inner wings but she was keen to hear his answer…

Haven knew full well that Kei wasn't quite telling him everything. She seemed far to antsy, rigid, tense. He refused to lower his mental barrier though. He would not hear her thoughts. He owed her that much at least. Nodding his head, his ears jumped at the sound of her voice. It was music... heavenly music to his ears. She could sit in front of him and mutter nonsence forever, and he would be content.
As she glanced down at their paws, his own gaze traveled to them as well. Haven let out a content sigh as she spoke about the colors. The blue flames that colored his paws swept playfully toward her bright red paw. The colors truly were beautiful together. He smiled at her sweetly, "I always liked red...." He lowered his head sadly as she pulled her paw from his. There was a dull coolness where her paw was against his. He rubbed his paw into the ground absent-mindedly.
Her words peirced his mind as she spoke. He looked up at her, and into her golden eyes.... It was as though her eyes were the sun's place of keeping while it was dark out. Her eyes were empty as the sun roamed the sky, but vibrant when the moon took over. He couldn't take his eyes off her as she spoke. Nodding his head, Haven spoke sincerely, "I promise you, I will never question you about what had happened. And I also promise you that I will not read your thoughts. It is your own to know, not mine. You diserve your privacy, I will not take that away from you, unless your life is at stake." He sounded much like a protecter. And indeed, he would protect Kei with his life.
He stretched his wings at her idea of a night flight. That sounded wonderful, actually. Haven blushed softly at the thought that had come to mind at this oppertune time. Blushing softly, he spoke, "Would you like to ride on my back, Keith?" She didn't have wings... and his were massive, so it was what he had figured she meant by a night flight. Though he definitely wouldn't mind taking her to the sky, that was for sure. He was a male, after all. He lowered his head and nuzzled her neck once more, showing his affection and letting her know that whatever had happened hadn't changed what he had thought about her.

Kei nodded gently at his offer, no he didn’t know about her wings but to be honest the thought of riding with him as one seemed better than anything. Kei spoke softly and gently “that would be lovely” she glanced up into the now pitch black sky, her furred shimmered even more bright now the sun had closed its eye from the world.
It wasn’t like her to become so attached to a wolf so quickly but Haven was definitely different from most wolves. She stared for some time at the seemingly brutish wolf that stood awkwardly before her.
He looked slightly embarrassed but she couldn’t pick the reason, so many wolves would have refused to think of such an offer. To have a demon so close and not even wonder if they’re safety was at stake. She wondered about why a wolf like he could be so gentle and also why he had refused to search her mind…
Kei moved close to him, her tail wrapping gently around his waist. “ill probably fall if I try this on my own so you might have to give me a paw” she grinned slightly amused before slowly attempting to climb upon the large wolfs back. “hope I’m not too heavy for you”

Haven knelt down before Kei as she began to crawl upon his back. His fur tickled as she brushed against him. A soft, goofy smile found it's way onto his maw as he extended his wings away from his sides. He was flat to the ground, though still massive in size. Extending his right paw toward Kei, he pushed her up onto his large muscular back. "You are perfect, Kei. Now hold on, around my neck, alright?" He looked back toward her with a soft gleam in his eye before slowly pushing both of their weights off the ground.
She was very light on his back, the weight just enough for him to feel her precense. His wings lowered to the ground swiftly as he spoke, "Are you ready, milady?" Smiling sweetly, he raised his creamy wings and took to the sky. Haven's wings made soft whooshing sounds as they pressed through the air, higher into the dark sky. Light seemed to eminate off his back. Keith... was she glowing? He glanced back toward her as they soared.
"This is nice." His crimson eyes grazed the falls with their presence. "It's beautiful up here. Just like you." He quickly thanked the ancestors that it was dark out so she couldn't see his blushing cheeks. He wasn't worthy of her, and yet here he was, offering her his back to ride as they flew through the star speckled skies. He smiled to himself as he headed over the giant falls near the dens. Even if he wasn't worthy, he could always please her to the best of his ability.

Kei couldn’t suppress her laughter, it had been some time since she took to the skies like this… not since she awoke without her memories… it seemed like such a long time ago, no matter… Kei grinned down at Haven, lowering her head beside his and letting her tongue hang out slightly “this ith fun!” she snickered. “thanks” she pulled herself back up slightly, resting her head atop his.
The night sky twinkled brightly, not because of the stars now specking the sky but because of Kei. Her eyes glowed like hot burning fire and her fur shimmered as though each hair where I diamond reflecting light. The two wolves combined seemed as though a raging ball of fire had streaked the night air, havens wings glowing with kei’s fiery eyes the two truly drew attention to themselves.
Kei blushed slightly at being called beautiful but quickly shook it off as the two flew on. “Haven…” she said almost to quite for herself to hear “you’re not…” she closed her maw tight with a slight snap before re-opening it, almost as though she was forced to keep something within her. She was being foolish, would her treat her as such of he did? Unless he has a mate and is just... kei shook her head to clear away the thought.
“If you where to choose a home forever, would it be in the sky with no legs or on the earth with no wings…” she felt sad asking this question… Kei herself had been ask this very same thing although only parts of it where still buried in her mind.
“I think… I would choose… where ever you are” had haven looked up at that point even he would have notice the red tinge beneath her red fur, it was a foolish thing to say and kei hadn’t meant to say it… Kei curled her tails more tightly around havens chest and stomach before slowly raising her head high into the air… “Beautiful” she muttered to the stars “just.. beautiful”

Haven pressed his head against Kei's as she lowered it next to his, in a sweet way. He nodded his head in agreement at her statement. "The most fun I've had in ages." A grin fell upon his maw as he said it. It was completely true. He had always had to deal with his siblings bickering and his mother and father's blocked thoughts, all of the voices in his mind that belonged to the other pack members.... He truly never had the chance to have fun. Kei had changed that for him though.
He headed a bit higher into the sky, away from the moon. He noticed the glow coming off his back and looked back toward her. She was utterly gorgeous. There was no doubt about that. At the sound of his name coming from her maw, his stomach did a little flip. But then she clamped her mouth shut, as though not wanting to say something. Haven's voice was soft, just loud enough for Kei to hear, "I'm not... what, Kei?" Good enough for her? Well he knew that one already. His stomach did another flip at the thought. It was going to hurt when she found another, better, brute to mate with.
Throwing the thoughts completely from his mind he made a pact with himself. He would make sure she was with a male that was worthy. Even if it were the last thing he did. Turning slowly, he heard her voice again. He took the question in, mulling it over slowly. His maw opened to answer when she answered for him. He ran his long tail over her thigh and nodded his head. "I like the sound of that, love."
His wings faultered when he realized what he had said. He regained his rhythmic flying, heading toward the very tops of the falls. His stomach clentched at the feeling of her tails around him... those gorgeous tails. He flew close enough to the river above the falls that his front paws dragged through the water lazily. Haven slowly landed near the bank, far enough away from the water for Kei. Lowering his body as close to the ground as it would go, a sad look fell upon his beautiful face. He couldn't let her fall for him... though he was clearly falling for her, he just wasn't worthy, and he was going to let her know that.
"Keith...." Haven shook his head, his crimson eyes clouding. "I'm not worthy enough for you. You should be with a male that is warrior material. I'm..." He looked at the ground, the sound of the rushing river behind them running through his mind, tearing through his thoughts. "I'm just not good enough." He couldn't look her in the eye. Oh how he wished he were worthy enough for such a gorgeous fae. She diserved so much better than him. He was a tattered brute that should have stood up to his father.... Now that he didn't, it was likely his father's plan was in action.... "Kei, you diserve better than I." He raised his head, wanting to pull her toward him and nuzzle her with affection. His muscles tensed as he tried to restrain himself. He was falling for her, or rather... had already fell.

His words stung, had kei had a solid heart she was sure she could have felt it crumble within her chest. Haven was not like other wolves this was true, He was calm, his eyes were not glowing with lust although kei knew given time they would. His smile was rare even during this one day she had spent with him she could tell few could gaze upon it. Haven was Haven as simple and complex as his name.
Kei sighed ever so gently, her eyes still glowing as she brought her gaze upon his. She wasn’t a wolf, she wasn’t a lot of thing but Kei could say with all honesty that she was beautiful. Here and now as her fur shined like a million lights, her tails so gracefully swaying from side to side. She could say anything but each word would hit deaf ears, each smile struck by blind eyes. Kei stayed as she was, high above her stance but still much shorter than the wolf she watched. “Deserve… you think I would be better suited with another?” kei let out a gentle laugh, a tinkling sort of laughter that remained in the air long after she had fallen quiet. Memories flashed through her mind, old mixed with new. Kei spoke so calmly it sounded as though it were not her voice to speak.
“I am bellow you, the sights I have seen would cause many to tremble. To have creatures cry out in fear yet you think I am the one he needs something more? I have seen pups yet to even open their eyes pilled beneath the moon. Their bodies burning and their living cries still begging mercy. My mother was so thrilled to have me, to create me from her own flesh and yet her too burnt lying beside the one she loved” Keis eyes were not her own, evil malicious hunger loomed behind them, hate that burnt like the fire now touching her throat. Kei had lost herself, her soul had become corrupt in less than a moment. She spoke with haste as each word rolled off her tongue, so thrilled of the blood flowing through her mind, the fear and rabid hunger that grew by the moment.
“They were all so helpless see” kei laughed “how wonderful! A fire child, to protect them. What a shame, such an awful shame to have one held so dearly to be the one to slice your flesh with their teeth. To burn and destroy” madness seemed to have overwhelmed her before within another moment something within her shifted, her eyes now her own she turned away from havens glare. “I deserve death, and you are the fool not to see that” kei turned, her head low she walked away leaving haven behind her. Leaving him without knowing what he would say… soon she couldn’t hear him then even sooner she couldn’t smell him… She wasn’t sure if he would follow but a part of her hoped he would, another part begged that he wouldn’t.

Haven's jaw dropped as Kei's voice changed to a more malicious tone. His mind raced with questions, and yet none of them seemed to be able to be put into words. He was completely speechless. The words that were pooring out of her mouth stunned him. She was talking as though she thought of herself as a monster. He shook his large head, not believing she were a monster. And then, just as it had started, it had ended. She was back to the Keith that he had known and wanted to protect. He took a step forward toward her just as she had spoke her last statement.
Lowering his own head as she walked away, Haven swallowed roughly and frowned. She didn't diserve death. Kei hadn't given him the whole story. She couldn't have of. Squeezing his eyes shut, he thought hard at Kei. He hadn't tried transferring thoughts yet, but he felt a connection with her... it had to work. You're not a monster, Keith. He took to the sky, trying to find her. With her vibrant glowing fur, it would be easier for him to spot her.
It took less than a moment for his crimson eyes to see her walking. He bolted for the ground and landed right in front of her, his stance low, dominating. He raised his head just enough to look her in the eye. "Keith..." He paused just long enough to walk up to her, his nose mere centimeters from her's. "You are not a monster. You do not diserve death. I will not let anything harm you while I'm around."
If anything, he diserved death. His father's plans were probably in action... and it was likely that he had just killed off the entire land of Aelyn because he hadn't stopped him. Kei and him were in the same both. He pressed his nose to her's and lowered his eyelids, "You will never be below me as long as I live. You should be placed on a throne and treated like an alphess." He opened his blood red eyes to look into her glowing orbs. He took a single step back and lowered his head, "I'm sorry." It was all he could manage to say.
He was damn sure he was going to protect her. She needed to know that there was compassion in the world. That there were second chances in the world. Kei was Haven's second chance.. and Haven was Kei's. He looked up at her through his eyelashes. She may be a 'fire child' but she was born that way... she didn't ask for it. She sure as hell could use it for good though. Just like Haven could help protect Fukai when his father came around.

She heard his voice echo in her mind, his voice was as gentle as fire. As protective as the flames that loomed above her all through that cold night, his voice was like a harmony if birds singing in the wind. A strange comparison… It wasn’t what she had expected… she thought he would hate her, smite her and bring her to ashes, after all his father couldn’t be much darker then she? Kei wasn’t thinking, her mind rushing with thoughts she couldn’t understand or control.
Kei flicked her ears back as the familiar sound of Havens wings pumping through the silent night air greeted them. She attempted to turn and hide but haven was much faster than she and within a moment his solid figure had landed gracefully in front of her. Haven didn’t look as he should, to graceful for a wolf his size and structure. Too perfect… Kei cursed her fur for bringing his attention to her… She opened her maw to speak, to push haven away with her cruel words but his beautiful and handsome voice greeted her ears first. "You are not a monster. You do not diserve death. I will not let anything harm you while I'm around."
She wanted haven to protect her, she wanted him by her side for as long as she still had ash in her lungs. She wanted him forever, to keep him safe by her side. Kei moved forward, her feet now driven by their own will she collapsed into Havens chest, his warmth seemed cold to kei, perfectly cool. She twisted her head up leaning against havens cheek and wrapping her silky tails tightly around his front legs. “im sorry, for how I acted” she was, she was foolish and childish in her response, she wasn’t kei around him, she wasn’t anyone… she leaned in so close her own weight seemed like nothing, she was glad for havens size or she might have pushed him to the ground.
Kei belonged here, this she was sure. She belonged by his side. The two where as they should be, their minds as unsure as one another. She didn’t need to listen to the minds of others to know this… Kei wasn’t good enough for Haven, he was amazing, perfect in all ways. A normal wolf would need someone like him, to protect them and care for them but despite this kei refused to allow it. Kei didn’t want him for another, she was selfish… “don’t…. don’t go…” the whisper only just managed to escape her blazing crimson jaws. She leaned in even closer, surprised that it was even possible, and nuzzled at havens neck. His scent was like a drug to her and yet again another blush crept up beneath her fur.
