Obsidian fell over as Masina rabidly tackled him with excitement. Being glomped by her tickled him as he writhed upon the dusty ground near the den of Cindershock. Deeply he gasped, almost having the wind knocked out of him entirely. He was just as happy at seeing the lovely fae as she was at seeing him, she was such a sweetheart and one of the most kindred spirits Obsidian had ever encountered. The brute really valued her perfection...she seemed so beautiful, so kind, and completely joyous---many traits he wish more wolves possessed.
With a deep breath and a smile, the fiery brute got up and wrestled Masina away playfully. Obsidian was so happy that he could finally introduce his lover to both Masina and Celestia who was just walking up to greet them. To his surprise, the young pup he once knew was almost completely grown---Celestia was at least the same size he was now. It wasn't only her physical size that had grown, but the expression on her face seemed more wisened and calm---as if she possessed the mind of an aged spirit.
"Good heavens, you've grown Celestia..." Obsidian muttered as an utter expression of surprise formed on his face before focusing his attention back on Zircon. The fiery brute's eyes flashed with burning passion as he stared at his beloved, finally feeling that he might actually have a family once again after the long years of living with the pain of all of his relations being killed.
"It's so good to see you both again....I have missed both you and Celestia so much." Obsidian glowed with admiration as he glanced from both Masina to Celestia again, "I'd like to introduce my amazing beau, Zircon....I found him in the Kumori Plains....just as you said, Celestia." The expression on Obsidian's face was timeless. A sense of extreme joy and euphoria surged through Celestia's mind.
"We are so happy for you. Always follow your passions, and they will reward you with the love you deserve." Celestia replied with reverence as she turned and smiled in Masina's direction, finally displaying her voice. "So tell us a bit about yourself, Zircon. We are eager to know more about you!"
Celestia smiled effervescently, knowing that it was important to accept Zircon into the family that seemed to be growing beautifully. No matter how much evil plagued Aelyn, Celestia knew that companionship and love between wolves would always keep it together. After all, it was her mission in guiding the wolves of Aelyn in their treks through good and evil---she had recently become aware of her purpose as she continued to progress quickly into a full-grown fae.

Harbinger took a deep breath as he spent some personal time with Eden after suffering a drilling experience in the midst of Celestia, Masina and Cindershock previously. Part of him remained nervous; however, he still had some sort of sense of confidence in his heart. He needed to prove himself to them, especially since he could feel the presence of wolves with alternative lifestyles in the area. After all both Eden and Harbinger were not that far from the den area.
"I know that they don't trust me, Eden...I wish they did...there's nothing more I want than to be good." Harbinger wrapped his tail around his beloved, and held her close---hoping that she would have some sort of insightful word of assurance to give to him.

Eden leaned into Harbinger's touch and sighed deeply in relief and love. She was still getting over the emotional whirlwind from the previous day. The fae had been scared that Cinder wouldn't allow Harbinger to stay. Much to her relief, her Alphess did. He was now a part of the Fukai Waterfall Pack, much to the chagrin of Masina and Celestia.
The fae closed her silver eyes as she nuzzled her nose into the brute's dark neck fur, comforting to the both of them. "It will take some time, love," she began. "They didn't meet your charm or your sweet personality like I had. They met your horrendous past, first. You must admit, it is difficult to over look such a thing." Eden gave him a sympathetic, yet loving, gaze and a small lick to his dark cheek.
"We just have to give it some time, Harbinger. They will come around, I'm sure of it," the fae assured him. Leaning up, Eden took one of his ears into her mouth and tugged, playfully. "Besides, we just have to take what we can get. They allowed you to enter the pack, that's something." The sounds of laughter and joyful play emitted from the den. Her silver eyes gazed in the direction of the waterfall. The couple weren't that far away, just enough to give the pack their privacy. Especially since they had visitors. Her gaze returned to Harbinger's handsome face. He must be taking it a bit hard. The very wolf he had hunted for so long was playing in the den.
Eden knew it would be difficult for him to resist the urge to hunt. She would help him, she declared. To help him through his tough time.

Cinder narrowed her eyes at Harbringer, making it painfully clear she was nervous around him, and that she would not tolerate him even thinking of harming these two new wolves. Her heat pounded from her encounter at the waterfall, but she had rebalanced herself and she was okay now.
She chuckled when she saw, calm, cool, and collected Masina launch herself at Obsidian. Zircon seemed at tad nervous, but he looked okay. She was not thinking about them getting used to the whole pack, though Obsidian knew two members of the thirteen already, she was worrying more about Harbringer's reaction to these two.
They were living an "altenate lifestyle" as he called it. She bounded over to Zephyr, and loveingly nuzzled him. She couldn't wait to tell him of her day. She licked his cheek and watched the scene in front of her unfold itself. She watches Harbringer, setting her gaze on him warningly. She knew this would test just how commited he was to Eden.
Her ear began to itch, so she brought a foot up to scratch it. Cindershock licked over her back once more, she was still slightly wet, and she didin't want to catch a cold. She thought over what had happend today, it was very busy, she had gotten a mate, and three new members to the pack. One, a alternate lifestyles hunter, and two alternate lifstyle living wolves. She hoped Harbringer could handle this, because she knew kicking him out of her pack, because of him doing anything to these two that involved anythign violent, or with violent intentions, it would break her heart.
Cinder looked at her mate and smiled sleepily, before yawning again.

With a deep bow at his introduction, Zircon gazed first at Masina and then to Celestia. To Masina, he spoke first as he bowed low and very gentleman like and old styled. "Obsidian told me of your beauty, but I can see that your beauty goes much deeper than that, Fair Masina. It is an honor to make your acquaintance!" He smiled a dashingly charming smile at her before raising himself up and turning to Celestia to give her an equally regal bow. "As for you, Celestia... You're an angel for sending this handsome wolf in my direction. I'm eternally in your debt, great Celestia." Raising from his bow, he could easily tell that there was more to this pup than met the eye. He could feel a great power emanating from her, just as any other wolf probably could if they followed their instincts and intuition. He gave one more dashing smile to each of them before nuzzling Obsidian in love and happiness. It truly showed how happy he made him. Electric blue electricity seared over his body as he slowly began to finally feel accepted into a pack. He took in Obsidian's fiery scent and took comfort in the feelings of security and hope that it instilled within him. Masina was glad to see Obsidian. Her tail wagged back and forth and she let her tongue loll out of her mouth. Some of the puppy that had been locked deep inside her when she was forced to grow up too fast let loose as she looked at Obsidian. More memories of her puphood washed over her as her smile broadened. An idea struck her mind and she turned her gaze to Obsidian and her face became slightly serious. She knew that Harbinger was just outside, and she also knew that she would do whatever she could to protect him, but she wanted to put Harbinger through a test... and in order to do so, he would potentially have to put Zircon and Obsidian in danger. Obsidian? Would you mind terribly if we went outside? You, Zircon, Celestia and I? I'm sure you know of the evil presence on these lands.. and I want to test him and his vow he made..... but that would put you and Zircon in potential danger... If you don't want to, I understand. She looked deep into his eyes. It wasn't like she was dead set on being out to get Harbinger, but it meant a lot to her to prove him for what he truly was... She had a deep gut feeling that she couldn't trust him and that he wasn't going to change.[/blockquote]

Obsidian's face went blank as he heard Masina's voice surfing his mind telepathically---he knew that what she requested had to be of some importance if she were to request it that secretly. Obsidian wished he possessed the gift of telepathy because he wanted to reply to his dear friend so badly, but found that he could not. All he could do was project a sensation of sincerity and alarm through his gift of empathy---knowing that Masina would be able to sense such emotions, not to mention Celestia as well.
Be very careful, Obsidian...you and your lover could be in grave danger, so be cautious. Celestia added onto Masina's telepathic thought with a thought of her own.
"Do you think it is that critical of a thing, proving his loyalty?" Obsidian decided to say out loud, still dreading the fact that he could not reply telepathically with exact words. No sooner did he finish his question, the brute stared at Zircon with unrelenting uneasiness. Part of Obsidian knew that he would end up facing the terrible wolf that tried killing him years ago, and the thought that he or Zircon could be the next victim made his blood curdle and boil at the same time. For all Celestia and Masina knew, Obsidian could decide to exact his own kind of revenge on Harbinger---granted that was not his way since Obsidian opted for a more pacifistic path unless he had to defend himself or someone else he loved. "If you wish to prove his loyalty my friend, shouldn't we let him make the first move and come to us?" Obsidian concluded while trying to think of a logical yet safe course of action that would benefit both him and Zircon as well as Masina and Celestia.
~~~~~~~~~
Across the small woodland clearing boarding the waterfalls, Harbinger watched on with discontent in his heart as his audits caught a few words regarding him. It was easy to tell that the dark brute was on the wolves' minds, even if they weren't saying anything he could tell a negative expression when he saw one.
"They are talking about me, Eden...and I don't think they are talking about positive things..."Harbinger whispered with a touch of paranoia in his voice, feeling a small bit of angst and frustration toward the wolves in the short distance. If there was anything that gave him a reason for remaining socially distant from wolves it was gossiping. To him that was all the packs were good for....drama and pointless chit chat regarding other wolves or creatures they despised. "Maybe I should go to them?"
Harbinger turned to Eden, hoping to get an answer from her ethereal mind.
Eden cocked her head to the side and stood. She rubbed her cheek against his, attempting to alleviate his angst and frustration. The fae placed a small kiss to his maw before answering. "If you want to Harbinger. I believe if we went and they saw you being civilized to them, it would help. We could even become acquainted with the newcomers," she said, giving him her advice on the matter.
She walked a few steps ahead, as if to wander into the den. The fae stopped as she reached a bush. Eden looked back at the handsome brute and smiled, reassuringly. She tilted her head, gesturing for the brute to follow. "Come on, love. Let's show them, you've changed your ways," she prompted. Her voice held a determination and a hidden challenge.
Eden knew they would prove to the rest of the pack that Harbinger could control his urges to kill. They would prove how sweet and caring he really was. Her ears twitched this way and that as sounds emitted from the den. The newcomers seemed fun and nice. In all honesty, Eden wanted to go meet them for herself. She wanted to so bad, she didn't know what to do with herself.
Eden was always one of the first wolves that greeted newcomers. It was one of those things she loved to do. So, she was a bit antsy. Her tail swayed back and forth as she waited for her handsome brute to follow. Eden couldn't help but allow her mind to wander to Harbinger.
The fae honestly was beginning to think she was falling for Harbinger. Hard. She always felt so safe around him. Not to mention, loved. Eden felt a rainbow of emotions when the brute was around.
Zephyr gave Cinder a wistful grin as she bounded up to him, his heart filling with love as she skipped like a playful puppy. She practically glowed, her fur glistening with life and reflecting off the water that shone upon it. He wondered not for the first time that day what he had done to deserve such a wonderful fae for a mate.
He licked Cindershocks cheek in return before nuzzling deep into her fur, inhaling her sweet scent. He took a more passive role, leaning back to watch his family and it's growth. So many new wolves, some he had yet to meet, yet he knew in his heart that things were good for the pack. The den was alive with new scents, and he had made it one of his duties to memorize each and every scent, even though he had yet to meet a few of the wolves to whom each scent belonged.
He laughed as Masina bounded upon...Obsidian his nose told him. She was very playful today, yet her eyes had an air of mishcief about them. Perhaps she was plotting something. Not far off he spied Eden and her new friend, another new member to the pack, Harbinger. Celestia had grown, and was no longer hte tiny pup he saw on occasions testing her beautiful little wings out with caution, but a nicely grown adolescent wolf. Yes, the waterfalls were, quite literally overflowing with life.
"You look so tired yet content love. What has happened to you today?" He smiled at Cinder, His tail brushing off odd little specks of dust that she had missed in her fur, though there were little and far between. Her pelt was beautiful in any light, and the warm comfort of their den sent happy little shivers through Zephyr that reminded him every moment that this was his home.
Harbinger smiled in the light of Eden's eyes. There was no doubt in his mind that she was as wise as she was beautiful...he could only imagine what other phenomenal qualities she possessed. While part of him remained reluctant to approach the other wolves, Harbinger knew that Eden was absolutely right---maybe an act of kindness would be enough to persuade them that he had good intentions.
"I hope you're right, my love...I have a lot to prove right now and the slightest mishap could either land me as a dead wolf...or an exiled one..." Harbinger tried his hardest to be positive, but he knew that there was always a dark side to everything. "Will you be coming with me?" Harbinger had a hint of desperation in his voice.
Reluctantly he took a few steps ahead of her, looking behind in hopes of her following along. Harbinger did not want to confront Masina and Celestia alone...it would be literal suicide on his part because neither of them trusted him. While he did win the appeal of the Alphess, he felt as though it wasn't enough to ensure his safe membership int he pack. Another small part of Harbinger wished that he would have just stayed in his native Misuteriasu Mountains pack...granted he did not like the changes that were taking place---which is another one of the main reasons he left. Unfortunately though, the wolves here did not condone his actions like Lucid did back when he managed to take over everything.
Masina listened to Obsidian as he spoke. "If you give me permission to read your mind, you need only think the thoughts you want to say, and I will be able to reply telepathically. Just for future reference." She smiled kindly as she thought for a moment. Her white fur stood out in the darkness of the cave as she sat down and flicked her tail absentmindedly. She sighed to herself and looked out over the grounds, keeping tabs on Harbingers mind as she was allowed to do. "Looks like we won't have to wait long for him to approach. Eden and Harbinger are coming this way to try and prove himself to us. It'll take more than just being in your presence to do so, wouldn't you agree, Celestia?" She flicked her tail and turned her head to face Celestia. Something about Harbinger didn't settle right with her, and she would most definitely go on the defensive when he approached any of her friends if she were with them at the time. She wasn't about to let anything happen to Zircon or Obsidian, even if it meant a fight. Masina, who was generally passive in nature, would fight to the death for something she believed in and stood strongly for, especially if it meant her friends and family. She turned her gaze back to the outsides of the waterfall, waiting for Eden and Harbinger to approach and make their entrance.[/blockquote] ((Celestic, you're 50 words short.))
Eden chuckled at the brute ahead of her. "Of course, my love. I wouldn't want you to feel overwhelmed. Especially on a first meeting. Just be kind and polite and all will be well," she answered. The fae trotted up to Harbinger's dark side and gave him a small nuzzle of encouragement. She knew how difficult it must be for him to finally come face to face with what he had hunted for so long.
With a bright, supportive smile, Eden padded down the small grassy hill that they had been occupying. She pushed her way through a few stubborn bushes, looking back, occasionally, to see if the brute was following. Her smile widened as she neared the den. Through the translucent waterfall, Eden could make out the frames of the pack's guests. Oh, how she wanted to meet them! Her pace seemed to quicken, although not into a full out run. Simply a fast walk.
On her small trek, Eden thought of how their personalities were. Were they funny? Kind? Fun to be around? The fae was pretty sure they were if they were friends of Masina. Eden was at the entrance of the den in no time. In her haste, the fae's paws slipped, slightly, against the wet stone surface. She let out a small yipe as she began her tumble, but easily caught herself.
When she entered the den, a small, sheepish smile was plastered to her face. How embarrassing! She nodded her dark head and greeted each of her pack mates until she came to Obsidian and Zircon. Her smile brightened. "Hello! You must be Obsidian and Zircon. I've heard so much about you. I'm Eden. It's a pleasure to meet the both of you. I want to welcome you to Fukai," Eden greeted, happiness emitting her every pore.
The fae bowed her head to each male, her silver eyes reflecting compassion and excitement. Behind her, her tail was wagging nonstop.
Harbinger's eyes grew large when he noticed Eden abruptly going out to meet the gathered wolves. While he felt at ease that she would be there with him, he became suddenly terrified by a striking entrance that he would end up having to make. If there was ever a time that he had cold feet, it was that very moment.
"Here goes nothing." the brute muttered to himself as he began to advance toward the bushes Eden slid through seconds before.
Over amongst the other wolves, Obsidian greeted Eden with excited glee---playfully prodding her with the tip of his wing.
"It is a pleasure to meet you as well, and thank you for the delightful welcome!!" Obsidian glanced at Masina, Celestia, and then onto Zircon as happiness filled his dimly lit eyes. He could not believe how large the Fukai family was---it was so much more welcoming than his old pack seemed to be.
Suddenly, through the thick bushes emerged Harbinger's dark sullen form. With a confident expression on his face he walked up behind Eden and bowed to both of the newcomers.
"I am, Harbing....er..." Harbinger's voice fell short as he caught a glimpse of Obsidian---and he could sense the familiarity in the fiery brute. He could remember very well that night many seasons ago when he murdered Obsidian's family and swore that he would find him and destroy him too---after all he was the object of Harbinger's mission....a wolf with an alternative lifestyle. A deep part of him felt sickened by watching both him and Zircon nuzzling and cuddling; however, he knew that he could not let that bother him.
"Hello Harbinger...is...everything okay?" Obsidian whispered, showing concern for the brute's pause, feeling the awkward amount of fear coming from the dark wolf, "I'm Obsidian, it is nice to meet you!" Obsidian smiled, showing no signs of remembering Harbinger at all.
"Err um, yes of course everything is okay! It's nice to meet you too Obsidian!" Harbinger shouted excitedly as he snuggled next to Eden.
Celestia flashed a half-gaze at Masina, sensing the the thoughts going through each of the wolves' minds. While she did not feel any threatening sensations from either of them, she knew that things were a bit tipsy. A dark and dreaded past was on the verge of being brought into view.
Now we watch and wait, Masina, and see what Harbinger does...can't you sense that he remember's Obsidian?
Zircon smiled at Eden as she spoke. She seemed to be excited enough. He was very quickly beginning to realize why Obsidian liked this pack so much. There was so much welcoming and joyous energy that he couldn't help but smile.
"Why, it is my honor to make your acquaintance, Eden. You are a very eye-catching wolf and serve only to make this pack that much more attractive and welcoming. If every pack and every wolf shared the same excitement you had for greeting new wolves, we all know the world would be a much better place. Thank you for the warm welcome from such a lovely femme as yourself." He gave her a low bow, much like he greeted many other wolves. It was only for females whom he did this for, because he thought they deserved so much respect for all of the hardships they have to go through. I mean, honestly, they have to go through birthing! He turned his electric blue gaze to the brute who entered. He wasn't a bad looking brute at all, if Zircon were to say so himself, but he had a feeling that this brute wouldn't take kindly to any compliments coming from a male. When the other wolves spoke to him and he introduced himself, his suspicions were confirmed. So this was the brute that hunted and killed his kind. Part of Zircon wanted to test him, while another part feared him. Which part would win out was the question. "Hello, Harbinger. It's a pleasure to make your acquaintance." He gave a slight bow to the brute, though keeping eye contact in case things turned sour. His body coursed with electricity as he thought and nuzzled Obsidian. Zircon decided that his bravery was outweighing him at the moment and turned to Obsidian and nuzzled him affectionately. He gave him a soft kiss on the cheek as a comforting gesture, be it for himself or for Obsidian. He stroked his tail against Obsidian in a loving manner and held Obsidian's tail with his own, much like holding hands for humans. Masina watched as Harbinger entered. She glanced quickly from Obsidian to Zircon and smiled as Eden spoke. "Hello, Eden! Its so nice to see you. And I appreciate the warm welcome you have shown to Obsidian and Zircon. They're a part of the pack now." Masina looked from Eden to Harbinger at this moment to make sure he understood that they were just as much members and welcomed into the pack, if not more so, than he was, though her look only held a look of daring him to do something stupid. Her every other feature was kind, but her eyes told Harbinger that he had better not try anything otherwise he would have to answer to Masina. She looked to Celestia when she spoke telepathically. And now we wait. I did notice that he recognized Obsidian. And Zircon is testing him as well. I think I quite like Zircon, actually. A wonderful addition to the pack, if not slightly on the reckless side. She smiled to Celestia, keeping tabs on Harbingers mind the entire time. She waited with slightly baited breath, for whatever fate would happen next.[/blockquote]
A bright smile was spread across Eden's face as she stood before the male couple. Just seeing the love they shared made her all warm inside. That alone made her just wanna go somewhere and snuggle close with Harbinger. She bowed her head respectfully to them when they greeted and thanked her for her hospitality. "The pleasure was all, mine. Really. I'm happy to have you as part of the pack. I can't wait to get to know the both of you better," she said.
As she said those words, she could hear footsteps coming from behind her. The fae turned her dark head and watched Harbinger hesitantly walk into the den. Eden offered him a smile of encouragement as he snuggled close to her side. When he introduced himself, Eden could hardly control her happiness. He was doing so well. After he had greeted both Obsidian and Zircon politely, she leaned up and gave kiss cheek a small kiss. Eden was proud of him.
At Masina's voice, Eden turned her attention to the Betess. "Thank you for your kind words, Masina. I only wish to welcome them with open arms," she replied. Looking back to the brutes, Eden frowned. Zircon was pushing Harbinger, testing him for a reaction. The fae did not like that at all. Harbinger needed time to adjust. She gave a small sigh. It needed to be done, though, for the others to begin trusting him. Her silver eyes looked up to him, trying to see his reaction to it.
